Enjoy a Taste of Newark
The city of Newark has a wide variety of delicious restaurants, from Italian to American to Portuguese and more. Here, our EWR parking company shares some of the most popular in the area:
Manu’s Sushi Lounge
If you love both Japanese cuisine and Mediterranean cuisine, Manu’s is the place to visit. Located on Ferry Street in the historic Ironbound neighborhood, this restaurant features more than 50 hand and specialty rolls as well as a variety of tapas, salads, wraps, Japanese soups, entrees, and desserts. You’ll also find a variety of imported sakes, wines, and beer to go with your lunch or dinner, and you can enjoy it all in the elegant, two-story setting with dark wood beams and gentle lighting.
Nico Kitchen & Bar
For some upscale dining, head to Nico Kitchen & Bar inside the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. The huge restaurant features high ceilings and an overall industrial feel that has been elevated with elegant red, gold, and coffee-colored décor. The menu features traditional Italian dishes like ricotta gnocchi, a portobello panini, or a margherita pizza, but also puts an American twist on things. Whether you see a show after dinner or you just grab a bite for lunch, Nico’s is a popular spot.
Fernandes Steak House
Head to the east part of the Ironbound neighborhood and you’ll find Fernandes Steak House. The restaurant is housed in a former bank and showcases a giant vault in its foyer, but if you head upstairs, you’ll see a dining area with lots of greenery and a Spanish-tiled ceiling. Overall, our EWR parking company believes Fernandes gives you a unique ambiance during your meal. The restaurant features a wide variety of seafood and meats, including filet mignon wrapped in bacon, pork tenderloin, veal, and even Brazilian-style meats.
