Traveling with your pet can be difficult – especially if you’re trying to find an airline that allows pets and doesn’t charge a large amount of money in order to transport them. Here, our Newark Airport parking company shares the best international airlines for pets and some of their guidelines:
If your dog or cat weighs 17 pounds or less, you can request to fly with him/her in the cabin. Cost: $35-$234 depending on the flight.
Regular British Airways flights allow only service dogs to fly in the cabin for free. On OpenSkies and SUN-AIR (the airline’s affiliates), dogs and cats weighing less than 13 pounds can fly in the cabin for $196.
If your dog, cat, or rabbit weighs 17 pounds or less, they can fly with you in the cabin. Cost: $58-$193 depending on the flight.
TUI allows dogs and cats that weigh 13 pounds or less to fly in the cabin with you. Cost: $57-$83 depending on the flight.
Service dogs are allowed to fly for free in the cabin of Thomas Cook flights. Other pets can be transported via the cargo area. Costs vary per situation and flight.
If you have a dog, cat, goldfinch, parrot, parakeet, or canary, you can fly with them in the cabin. Cost: $15-$37 depending on the flight.
Dogs, cats, and ferrets that weigh 17 pounds or less are allowed in the cabin and if you don’t have a carrier for your pet, you can get a disposable pet-friendly box from the airline. Cost: $23-$199 depending on the flight.
Aeroflot allows “domestic and tamed” pets that weigh 17 pounds or less on their flights. These include dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, ferrets, meerkats, pygmy hedgehogs, marmosets, and more. Cost: the same as excess baggage; varies depending on the flight.
Like Aeroflot, Air Europa allows a variety of animals to travel inside the cabin, including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, birds, fish, aquarium turtles, guinea pigs, and more. Cost: $27-$165 depending on the flight.
Dogs, cats, birds, fish, and turtles/tortoises are all allowed in the cabin. Cost: $35-$52 depending on the flight.
